AV in IF-3.02 & 4.02

DO NOT MOVE THE TFT DISPLAY. It contains wired connections to the floor which will break if moved.

Overview

Room Booking for IF-3.02
Room Booking for IF-4.02

These meeting rooms are equipped with in-room presentation facilities by the use of a personal laptop or the installed Windows MDP desktops (Guest or staff login).

Hybrid meeting facility is also provided by the installed Windows MDP desktops only. You can use your own laptop for hybrid meetings, however, the microphone and camera attached to the large monitor in the rooms will not be able to work with personal equipment. We ask that you do not unplug any of this equipment and only use the provided HDMI cable if you are presenting something off your own laptop.

Please note, there is no variety of USB-C cable - you will need to bring any adaptors yourself.

TFT Display

This display comes with a video Conferencing camera. This is connected to the installed Windows MDP desktop in the rooms and is only used with said machine and must not be unplugged for any reason. This causes issues for anyone else that will be using the room next.

In order to use the display, there is a joystick behind the screen on the left side (if you are facing the display). This joystick can be clicked to open the Input selection - you can then scroll to either HDMI if you are using your own laptop or to MDP in order to use the installed Windows desktop. Click the joystick to your right in order to confirm your selection.
Sometimes the screen may not give a display - in this case there is a simple way to troubleshoot this, underneath the screen there is a physical on/off switch that sometimes users turn the screen off with (DO NOT TURN THE SCREEN OFF WITH THIS). You can use this switch to either turn the screen on if it was off, or to turn the screen off for a minute before turning it back on. Make sure to have the provided wireless keyboard and mouse turned on and wiggle the mouse to make sure the Windows machine is not asleep.

MDP Desktop

There is a wireless keyboard and mouse that are connected to this machine that you can use. Please switch these off after using them.

Conferencing software

The system has been designed to work with Microsoft Teams Web. Other conferencing software will most likely work, however users do so at their own preference.

Use Teams in a browser
https://teams.microsoft.com/v2/

Once your meeting has finished, close Teams and LOGOUT of Windows. Do not shut down or turn off the screen.

If there are any issues that you run into regarding the AV equipment in these rooms, you can come through to IF-2.07 which is the User Support area or submit a Support Form.

These rooms have a max occupancy of 10 people.
