The School of Informatics has a Learning Technology support service, which can advise staff on the pedagogical and technical aspects of teaching and assessment.

For details, see the Informatics Learning Technology Service (ILTS) site or get in touch at LT-support@inf.ed.ac.uk.

ILTS have developed and maintain the Informatics Open Course Materials site, where most Informatics courses publish their course materials openly in line with the values of the OpenCourseWare movement

We can help with any centrally provisioned service, including:

  • Learn / Learn Ultra
  • Online Assessment (including, but not restricted to, Gradescope, Learn, Turnitin)
  • Media Hopper Replay (lecture recording)
  • Media Hopper Create (in-house YouTube)
  • Wooclap (in-class polling and attendance tracking)
  • Collaborate (online meeting)
  • Leganto (reading/resource list)
  • Noteable (Jupyter Notebooks in the Cloud)
  • Academic Blogging.

Where no centrally supported service exists to meet your needs, we can investigate third party tools or develop our own. Please get in touch at LT-support@inf.ed.ac.uk.

We also offer support and advice on course and assessment design.
