Informatics document classes for LaTeX

This page is about Informatics document classes for LaTeX. To find out more about LaTeX itself, see the LaTeX page.

The School of Informatics has its own LaTeX document classes, installed on DICE computers as part of TeX Live. For more on TeX Live see the LaTeX on DICE page.

The Informatics class files can be found in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/informatics/ on most DICE machines. Guidance on using them can be found within the files themselves and in the documentation directory /usr/share/texmf/doc/latex/informatics/. There's also a package of resources such as logos for use with these classes.

On DICE machines, one of tthe following commands will show you the full (long) list of School of Informatics classes and files, where applicable:

# On Ubuntu machines:
[host]user$ dpkg -L latex.local.informatics latex.local.informatics.defs

# On SL7 machines (typically servers):
[host]user$ rpm -ql latex.local.informatics latex.local.informatics.defs
