Wordpress-specific cookies
On certain wordpress instances, authentication is necessary to
use features such as posting comments. In these cases, cookies are
set by the Wordpress login system in order for this process to work.

logged in, and other information about your account, as well as setting

- These cookies are only valid for the length of time of your session, and can live up-to 15 days.
- Description
- When logging in to access features on wordpress, these cookies are necessary for the wordpress instance itself to keep track of your user data. Some examples of uses are for comments and website privileges such as whether or not you are an administrator. These are necessary for some basic functions of these wordpress insances and as such the University is justified in having a legitimate interest to process and store the cookie information. Non-acceptance of these cookies will mean you will not be able to use certain features of these websites. We only use these cookies in order to know what you have done on that specific website.
Cosign protected content
When viewing content that has been password protected, cookies are
set by the Informatics login system in order for this process to work.

- The weblogin service uses cookies to store the fact that you have
logged in, what your username is and that you should be given access
for a certain period of time.
- When does it expire?
- These cookies are only valid for the time of your login and are deleted when you quit your browser
- Description
- When logging in to view content that has been password protected by the University login system cookies are set as this is strictly necessary for the login process to work. As such the University is justified in having a legitimate interest to process and store the cookie information. Non acceptance of these cookies will mean you will not get access to websites protected by the authentication service. We do not use cookies to track any information other than the fact that you have logged in and used a particular web service
