Microsoft Software Licensing

Microsoft software is available through a number of different routes. The following table attempts to list the possible routes available for common situations.

Figures in brackets are the quantity of licences permitted per individual ('n' is unlimited).

The School is signed up to the University's Campus agreement.
Office 365
All students and staff can download and install Office Pro Plus on up to 5 devices (including mobile devices) from the Office365 portal. For further details see the IS Office365 documentation.
Azure Dev Tools (formerly known as Imagine or DreamSpark)
All students and staff in Informatics can download a variety of Microsoft software under the Azure Dev Tools programme. This software must only be used for teaching and research purposes and not for administrative or infrastructure purposes - for details of eligibility, see the Azure Dev Tools FAQ. In particular, only students and academic staff are permitted to use personal copies.
Home use program/Work at home
