  • G07 can either be used in isolation or in combination with G07A. If you are using both rooms for one event, remember to select "G07/G07A Combined" from the Display Panel on the lectern in G07. It is not possible to control both G07 and G07A from the lectern in G07A.
  • If you do select "G07/G07A Combined" from the menu in G07, the lectern in G07A is disabled so please only select this option if you are using the 2 rooms as one.
  • The lectern has an MDP machine installed (Windows managed desktop that University staff and students can use, logging in with their Active Directory password). The USB ports on the lectern are connected to this MDP machine.
  • Available network ports are on a 'conference' wire which is outwith the School's firewall. If you are using one of these ports with, for example a laptop, and you wish to access restricted Informatics services or web pages, you will need to use a VPN.
  • A laptop is not provided - you must bring your own.
  • Remember to bring your laptop power supply.
  • Connection is VGA only - please bring an appropriate adaptor if your laptop does not have this output.
  • Check in advance which settings are needed to project to an external display from your laptop.
  • You can display 2 different outputs (one on each screen) at the same time.
  • The room is fitted with an induction loop.
  • Microphones are kept at reception.

Additional facilities have been added to the Touch Panels so this documentation needs to be updated. However, the facilities described in the document work as expected.
